This Privacy Policy describes how Colorize Old Photo ("we", "us", or "the App") collects, uses, and discloses information when you use our Service.
By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. We will not use or share your information except as described here.
Collection and Storage of Your Information
We may collect information about you in a variety of ways depending on how you use the App. We do not personally maintain long-term storage of your photos or personally identifiable information on our own servers. However, some data about your device or usage may be collected by third-party services integrated into the App, as described below.
Your Photos
How your photos are processed depends on which version of the App you are using. We recommend updating to the latest version for on-device privacy protection.
Current Version (On-Device Processing)
In recent versions of Colorize Old Photo, black-and-white photos are colorized entirely on your device using built-in Core ML models. Your photos are not uploaded to our servers during colorization. Processed images exist only on your device until you choose to save them to your photo library.
Older Versions (Cloud Processing)
If you are using an older version of the App that has not been updated, your photos may be uploaded to our colorization server for processing. While processing:
- Photos are temporarily stored on the server and are automatically deleted within several days.
- Developers or operators maintaining the service may view photos to improve algorithms.
- You must not upload private, sensitive, or illegal photos. You are solely responsible for the content you submit.
Because colorization is the core purpose of the App, users on older versions cannot opt out of photo upload and still use the main colorization feature.
Biometric and Face Data
Our App does not collect, use, or store biometric data, including face data or facial recognition information. Photos processed by the App may contain human faces, but our colorization technology does not detect, recognize, analyze, or extract facial features or biometric information. Photos are processed as standard images without face-related processing.
Financial Data
We do not collect financial information such as credit card numbers. The App offers in-app purchases and subscriptions processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. Payment information is collected and stored by Apple. Please review Apple's Privacy Policy.
Device Permissions
We may request access to your photo library and related device features required for the App to function, including loading photos for colorization and saving results to your device.
Mobile Device Data and Analytics
Device information such as device model, operating system version, app usage, and crash diagnostics may be collected by third parties on our behalf, including:
- Firebase Analytics — Firebase Analytics Policy
- Google AdMob — for displaying advertisements
- Apple / Google — system-level crash and diagnostic data
On iOS 14 and later, we may request App Tracking Transparency (ATT) authorization before personalized advertising. You can decline tracking in the system prompt or in Settings.

Third-Party Advertisers
We may use third-party advertising companies, including Google AdMob, to serve ads when you use the App. We have chosen not to use location-based tracking for ad targeting where possible. You are encouraged to review Google's privacy policy for details on ad data collection.
Third-Party Service Providers
We may share limited information with third parties that perform services for us, including payment processing (Apple), analytics (Firebase), and advertising (AdMob). Details are described in the sections above.
Third-Party Websites
The App may contain links to third-party websites or services. Information you provide to those third parties is not covered by this Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.
Policy for Children
We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16. If you believe we have collected data from a child under 16, please contact us at codesuperior@163.com.
Purchase Notifications
When you complete an in-app purchase or subscription, the App may send an anonymous purchase event notification to our server for operational statistics.
Your Right to Opt Out and Data Deletion
Current version users: Uninstalling the App stops all on-device photo processing. We do not retain your photos on our servers.
Older version users: To stop photo uploads, update to the latest version or uninstall the App. Temporarily stored photos on our server are deleted automatically per our retention policy. You may contact us at codesuperior@163.com regarding cloud-stored data.
European Union users: Under GDPR, you may request deletion of personal data held by third parties (Google, Apple) by contacting them directly:
